Fashion Alta Moda
is Sydney's destination for sustainable luxury fashion hire. Founded by Tanya
Perilli, F.A.M. offers access to rare and exclusive designer pieces — from
Chanel and Dior to Alexander McQueen and Valentino — at a fraction of the retail
price.
Our mission is to
make luxury fashion accessible, responsible, and personal. We believe in
circular fashion — wearing beautifully, returning carefully, and sharing the
love of great design with our community.
Based in Sydney's
Eastern Suburbs, we offer a private Styling Suite experience for Sydney
clients, as well as nationwide online hire and our curated pre-loved Archive.
WHAT DOES F.A.M OFFER
We offer three
ways to experience Fashion Alta Moda:
Fashion for Hire: browse and rent from our curated collection of designer garments and
accessories. Available online Australia-wide or in person at our Sydney Styling
Suite.
Styling Appointments: book a private one-hour appointment at our Sydney Styling Suite for a
personal styling experience with full access to the collection.
F.A.M. Archive: shop our curated selection of pre-loved and archival designer pieces
available for outright purchase.
HOW IS F.A.M. ARCHIVE DIFFERENT FROM THE HIRE COLLECTION?
The hire
collection is available to rent for a set period — you wear it, return it, and
we take care of the cleaning. F.A.M. Archive is a separate shop of pre-loved
and archival designer pieces available to buy outright and keep forever.

DOES FASHION ALTA MODA (F.A.M) HAVE A PHYSICAL STORE?
Yes — our F.A.M.
Styling Suite is located in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. It is a private,
appointment-only space where you can try on garments, receive personal styling
advice, and book your hire in person.
A $50
non-refundable booking fee is required to secure your one-hour appointment.
This fee is credited toward your garment hire on the day.

How it Works
HOW DOES THE HIRE PROCESS WORK?
Hiring with
F.A.M. is simple:
Step 1 — Browse: explore the collection at www.fashionaltamoda.com.au and use the filters
to find your size, occasion, and preferred dates.
Step 2 — Book: select your garment, choose your hire dates, and complete payment. Your
card is charged at the time of booking to secure your reservation.
Step 3 — Wear: your garment arrives on Day 1 of your booking period, freshly cleaned
and ready to wear. Standard hire is 4 days.
Step 4 — Return: place the garment carefully back in its original packaging and use the
prepaid return label to post it back by 12pm on Day 4. We take care of the
cleaning.

HOW FAR IN ADVANCE CAN I BOOK A GARMENT?
You can place an
order up to 2 months before your event. We recommend booking as early as
possible to secure your preferred piece, as many garments are one-of-a-kind.
WHAT IS THE HIRE PERIOD?
Our standard hire
period is 4 days. Day 1 is the day your garment arrives. Day 4 is the return
day — the garment must be posted back or handed to a courier by 12pm.
Extended
hire periods are available on selected pieces. Contact us at

CAN I EXTEND MY HIRE PERIOD?
Extensions may be
possible depending on availability. Please contact us at
hello@fashionaltamoda.com.au before your return date to request an extension.
Additional hire fees will apply. Extensions cannot be guaranteed and are
subject to the garment not being reserved by another client.
Sizing & Fit
HOW DO I KNOW WHAT SIZE TO ORDER?
All garments on
our website include detailed measurements — we recommend measuring yourself and
comparing directly to the garment measurements listed rather than relying on
standard sizing labels, as designer sizing varies significantly between brands.

measurement guide is available on our website. If you are unsure, email us at
hello@fashionaltamoda.com.au with your measurements and the garment you are
considering — we are happy to advise.
The most reliable
way to ensure fit is to book a Styling Appointment at our Sydney Styling Suite,
where you can try before you hire.
HOW CAN I BE SURE THAT A GARMENT WILL FIT ME?
We ask that
before booking you review the garment measurements on the product page and
compare them to your own. Different fabrics behave differently — structured
fabrics are less forgiving than stretch fabrics, so take this into account when
selecting your size.
If you are in
Sydney, the most reliable option is to book a Styling Appointment to try the
garment in person before confirming your hire. Interstate clients can book a
virtual styling consultation via FaceTime — email us to arrange.
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN THE GARMENT ARRIVES AND IT DOES NOT FIT?
Please email
hello@fashionaltamoda.com.au within 8 hours of receiving the garment, ensuring
all swing tags are still attached.
We will issue a
store credit minus a $50 admin fee. No refunds or exchanges are available.
If you are
Sydney-based and your event is imminent, contact us directly and we will do our
best to assist. Please note additional costs may apply.
I LIVE INTERSTATE — HOW CAN I GET STYLING ADVICE BEFORE I BOOK?
We offer virtual
styling consultations via FaceTime or video call. We will review your
measurements, show you the garments you are interested in, and help you select
the best fit and style for your occasion.

Styling Services
Do I need to book an appointment?
Yes. Fashion Alta Moda operates by private appointment only.
Appointments allow us to provide personalised styling advice, fit guidance and access to our curated designer dress hire collection in a private setting.
Is there a fee for an appointment?
Yes. A $50 Styling Appointment Fee applies to all private styling appointments.
This fee covers the time, preparation, styling advice, fit guidance, garment selection support and one-on-one service provided during your appointment.

Is the $50 Styling Appointment Fee deducted from my dress hire?
No. The Styling Appointment Fee is separate from the garment hire fee.
It is not deducted from, credited toward, or applied against the cost of any garment hire.
If you proceed with a hire, the garment hire fee is payable in addition to the Styling Appointment Fee.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I NEED TO CANCEL OR RESCHEDULE MY STYLING APPOINTMENT?
We understand plans can change.
Rescheduling
You may reschedule your styling appointment up to 2 hours before your appointment time, subject to availability.
If you reschedule within this timeframe, your $50 Styling Appointment Fee will be transferred to your new appointment time.
Cancellations made 7 or more days before your appointment
If you cancel your styling appointment 7 or more days before your appointment, your $50 Styling Appointment Fee may be refunded.
Cancellations made within 7 days of your appointment
If you cancel within 7 days of your appointment, the $50 Styling Appointment Fee is non-refundable.
However, the fee may be held as a credit toward a revised styling appointment. If you do not have a new date confirmed, the credit will be held on file under your name.
Credits are valid for 6 months from the original appointment date and may only be used toward a future styling appointment, not garment hire.
Garment Care & Damage
HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR THE GARMENT DURING MY HIRE PERIOD?
All garments
leave us freshly cleaned and carefully packaged. To keep them in perfect
condition during your hire period:
• Hang the garment immediately on arrival to
prevent creasing.
• Keep it in the garment bag provided until you
are ready to wear it.
• Wash and dry your hands thoroughly before
handling the garment.
• Allow deodorant and perfume to dry completely
before putting the garment on.
• Put the garment on by stepping into it or
placing it over your head — never pull it on sideways.
• Take care around jewellery, sharp surfaces, and
rough fabrics that could snag delicate materials.
• Do not attempt to clean, steam, or iron the
garment yourself unless specifically instructed.
WHAT ABOUT FAKE TAN AND COSMETICS?
Fake tan and cosmetic products are one of the most common causes of garment damage and can permanently stain delicate fabrics.
If you wear fake tan, please ensure it is fully dry and set — ideally applied at least 24 hours before wearing the garment. We strongly recommend wearing a barrier such as a slip or body liner underneath to protect the fabric.
Apply makeup, perfume, and hairspray before putting on the garment, not after. Any staining caused by cosmetics or tanning products will be assessed on return and the cost of specialist cleaning or repair will be invoiced to the card provided at
booking.
WHAT HAPPENS IF THE GARMENT ARRIVES CREASED?
We steam and press every garment before it leaves us, but some creasing may occur during transit. If your garment arrives creased, hang it in the bathroom while you
shower — the steam will help release the creases naturally.
If furthersteaming is required, turn the garment inside out and apply a steamer from a
safe distance. Never apply an iron directly to the garment. If you are unsure,
contact us at hello@fashionaltamoda.com.au before attempting any treatment.

WHAT SHOULD I DO IF I ACCIDENTALLY DAMAGE THE GARMENT?
Contact us at
hello@fashionaltamoda.com.au as soon as possible — ideally before returning the
garment.
Please do not attempt to clean, treat, or repair the garment yourself. Many fabrics require specialist treatment and DIY attempts can make damage significantly worse and more costly to repair.
FAM will inspect the garment within 4 business days of return and notify you in writing with
photographic evidence of any damage. You will have 48 hours to respond before
any charge is processed.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I DAMAGE THE GARMENT DURING MY HIRE PERIOD?
When you place an order you agree to our Terms & Conditions, which state that any damage to a garment — including staining, rips, or fabric damage — will result in a charge covering the cost of repair or, where the garment is beyond repair, the full replacement value plus reasonable sourcing and administrative costs.
FAM will inspect the garment within 4 business days of return and notify you in writing with photographic evidence of any damage identified. You will have 48 hours to
respond before any charge is processed to the card provided at booking.
Please do not attempt to clean or treat the garment yourself.
WHAT IF A GARMENT ARRIVES NOT IN PERFECT CONDITION?
All garments are
thoroughly inspected and cleaned before dispatch. Minor wear consistent with
pre-loved luxury pieces may be visible on some garments and will be disclosed
on the product page.
If your garment arrives with damage or in a condition that was not disclosed at the time of booking, please photograph it immediately and email
hello@fashionaltamoda.com.au within 4 hours of receipt. We will assess and
resolve the issue promptly.
CAN ALTERATIONS BE MADE ON RENTED GARMENTS?
No — alterations
of any kind are not permitted on hired garments. Please do not pin, hem, take
in, or modify any piece in any way. If you have concerns about fit, please
contact us before your event and we will advise.
CAN I LEND THE GARMENT TO SOMEONE ELSE TO WEAR?
No. Our Terms
& Conditions state that only the person who placed the booking may wear the
garment during the hire period. If someone else wears the garment and damage
occurs, the person who placed the booking remains fully liable.
Orders & Cancellations
HOW DO I CANCEL AN ORDER?

• Cancel more than 7 days before your delivery
date: store credit issued, minus a $50 admin fee.
Valid for 6 months from date of issue.
• Cancel within 7 days of your delivery date: no refund and no credit. Payment is forfeited in full.
• Personal circumstances: cancellations due to illness, event cancellation, or change of plans are
subject to the same policy above. No exceptions.

WHAT IF MY EVENT IS CANCELLED?
We understand events are sometimes cancelled or postponed at short notice. Unfortunately our standard cancellation policy applies regardless of the reason for cancellation — including illness, venue changes, or event postponement.
If you cancel more than 7 days before your delivery date, a store credit minus a $50 admin fee will be issued, valid for 6 months. If you cancel within 7 days, payment is
forfeited in full.
We strongly recommend taking out personal event insurance if your event is subject to
change.
CAN I CHANGE MY ORDER'S DELIVERY DATE?
To change your delivery date you must cancel the existing order and place a new order with the updated dates. Please be mindful of our cancellation policy before doing so — if you are within 7 days of your original delivery date, the cancellation terms
apply.

Delivery & Returns
WHEN WILL I RECEIVE MY ORDER?
Your garment will
arrive on or before Day 1 of your rental period. You will receive a tracking
number so you can follow your delivery.
We use trusted
courier services for all deliveries. Please note that while we do everything to
ensure on-time delivery, transit delays outside our control may occasionally
occur.
WHAT HAPPENS IF MY ORDER DOES NOT ARRIVE IN TIME FOR MY EVENT?
Please email us
immediately at hello@fashionaltamoda.com.au. We will do everything we can to
arrange an alternative style via courier, or process a full refund to your
account if we are unable to fulfil the order.
HOW DO I RETURN MY ORDER?
Place the garment carefully in its original packaging and attach the prepaid return label to the outside. The garment must be posted or handed to a courier by 12pm on your
return date.
Please note: a courier scan or handover to a courier does not constitute return of the
garment. The garment is considered returned only once it has been physically
received by FAM.
WHAT IF I HAVE LOST THE RETURN PACKAGING?
If you have misplaced the original packaging, please place the garment with care in secure, protective packaging — a clean garment bag or equivalent. Attach the return label to the outside and ensure the garment is fully protected during transit.

return. You are responsible for the garment until it is received by FAM, so
please ensure it is packaged securely.
WHAT HAPPENS IF I RETURN THE GARMENT LATE?
Garments must be
returned by 12pm on your agreed return date. Late returns will incur a fee of
$50 per day for hire values under $500, or $100 per day for hire values $500
and above, charged from the day after your agreed return date until the garment
is received by FAM.
If a garment is not returned within 7 days of the return date, it will be deemed lost and full replacement value plus reasonable sourcing and administrative costs will apply.
WHAT IF A GARMENT ARRIVES NOT IN PERFECT CONDITION?
All garments will have minor wear and tear. However we would never allow an item to be rented that is not in near perfect condition. If this is the case please let us know.

Yes — there are two ways to purchase with us.
First, browse our curated selection of pre-loved and archival designer pieces at F.A.M. Archive — competitively priced and ready to buy outright.

have hired a piece and fallen in love with it, you are welcome to make an

garment and we will come back to you. Please note — not all pieces are
available for sale, and availability is at FAM's discretion. Where a sale is
agreed, 50% of your hire fee will be credited toward the purchase price.
