How do you define your style?
I try to go for classic shapes and styles that aren’t trend focussed so when I invest in key pieces they have longevity and are transeasonal. When I’m working I’ll pair a simple Acne trouser with a COS or jac & jack cashmere v-neck sweater and a Bottega heel or an Old Celine boot for some extra height. When I’m working and doing Mum duties I’ll dress for comfort and practicality, but make it chic by pulling together an oversized button up shirt with a classic cut Levi and a Yeezy sneaker. I keep my essentials for the day either in a Loewe bag or Bottega clutch.
Who is your style icon - is it one or many?
My style influences are always dependent on the occasion, but my Lebanese heritage always remains consistent. My mum has always played a pivotal role in how I style together my looks, and the vintage gold bracelets and rings are a constant homage to our heritage. When I’m going to an event or soiree and I’m seeking inspiration I’ll look to the girls from Attico for inspiration. I’ve also been watching Luca Guadagnino films of which elements are starting to trickle through to my everyday style.
What is your signature style piece - is it shoes, jewellery, sunglasses etc?
My husband recently purchased a timepiece for our anniversary, which I pair with my mother’s vintage gold and a love bangle i’ve not taken off for years.
Where do shop - in stores, or on-line?
I’ve really taken to mixing new iconic pieces from my favourite designers such as Bottega Veneta and Old Celine and started pairing them with timeless and classic discoveries from Vestiaire collective – a treasure trove for vintage and preloved designer. I can’t go past Matches or My Chameleon for items I’ve been eyeing off for quite some time from my favourite designers including Jacquemus, Acne and Isabel Marant . And for every day, easy wear COSis always a safe bet,
How do you experiment with your style?
Renting is the way to experience more high glam and statement pieces
What is your Favourite FAM piece?
I recently wore the Atttico slip sequin dress to a Black Tie 30th Birthday. It was the perfect dress for the event and something I would only wear once so to be able to rent it for my Black tie event was perfect. I am also obsessing over the Carolina Herrera black check gown for my next wedding event.
